WBLA Inducted into Wrightsville Beach Waterman Hall of Fame: Making a Significant Impact on the Coastal Community

Wrightsville Beach – November 9, 2023

The Wrightsville Beach Longboard Association (WBLA) is proud to be inducted into the Wrightsville Beach Waterman Hall of Fame in the Ohana category. This exceptional recognition by the Wrightsville Beach Museum of History honors not only the WBLA but every individual who has contributed to the organization’s journey.

The celebration of this honor will take place at the Induction Ceremony on November 12, 2023 from 4pm til 7pm at Waterman’s Brewing Company.

The Ohana category pays tribute to groups that have made a significant impact on our coastal communities and groups that have played a pivotal role in establishing and advancing watersports in the Cape Fear Region.

WBLA’s induction into the Wrightsville Beach Waterman Hall of Fame is a testament to the collective dedication and passion of the entire WBLA community. This achievement would not have been possible without the members, surfers, and supporters who share in the organization’s commitment to the traditions of the coastal way of life.

This event is an opportunity for the community to come together, acknowledge our rich coastal heritage, and recognize the profound influence of all the Waterman Hall of Fame inductees.  WBLA expresses heartfelt gratitude to its members and invites all supporters to join in the celebration.
